The trip planner puts forward a trip using real-time data which is then dynamically revaluated according to the real life situation while the traveler is on the go.
Clear and legible information available on all media
Optygo multimodal/intermodal trip planner can be used on a PC using Internet, on mobile devices (responsive website, Smartphone apps) or in call centers dedicated to the mobility of people. For a specific trip, solutions provided will be the same no matter the used media, since all call the same trip planner calculation engine and the same transport reference database.
For each requested trip, the results (usually the 3 most relevant solutions are provided to the user) are presented by the system both as, a detailed step-by-step textual roadmaps, as well as dynamic overview of the trip on the interactive map.
A powerful « Map Centric » interface
A brand new map centric interface improves the user’s search experience combining text entry with auto-completion features, as well as the selection on the interactive map. The user can also drag and drop his departure/arrival point directly on the map to modify his trip search.
The advanced interactive map also allows the visualization of the transport offer around a specific location as, addresses, Point Of Interest or ongoing cultural/tourist events and the selection of these as departure/arrival points for the trip planner search.
The trip results are presented on a wide selection of interactive maps as: Google Maps with Street View features, Bing, Open Street Maps. The choice is done by the user. Each step of the trip is displayed clearly on the map as well as on the detailed step-by-step roadmap. The different combined modes used within the trip plan provided are clearly presented and identified.
Users’ preferences definition
What makes Optygo the most powerful and innovative intermodal trip planner is its ability to take into account the user’s preferences for each modes of transport to be used in the trip calculation while he is looking for the best trip solution. The user’s preferences can be defined and saved within the system for future searches. The user can specify precisely how he is willing to use each mode:

Client case study
Triplinx is a new online transit trip planning tool and information resource to help users plan their routes and move more seamlessly across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). It is a collaborative initiative between Metrolinx and 11 GTHA transit providers.
The Optygo intermodal trip planner has been designed in an interoperability approach to easily communicate with third parties Multimodal Information Systems, respecting all data exchange norms and standards of the industry. Its openness allows the provision of easy to integrate standardized webservices (TRIDENT/Neptune/SIRI/TCIP/GTFS/GTFS RT/TCIP…) and RSS feeds.
The trip planning request form can also be provided as a “white-label” service to be integrated in third parties websites. This allows the provision on distant website of the power and efficiency of a wider Multimodal Information System and to provide features as « How to get there ».
